THE NEW GENOA BRIDGE
After the collapse of Morandi’s Bridge (Genoa, August 14th 2018), works started to rebuild a new highway bridge. Renzo Piano, a well-known architect, is the mind behind this project donated to his hometown; the architect himself describes it as a “simple and frugal project but not an ordinary one”. The bridge will be 1067 metres long made by light and bright steel which will look like a ship moored to a valley. It will reflect the personality of Genoa’s citizens and as a memorial of the 43 victims.
Nworld is honoured to be part of this amazing project as the industry chosen to supply welding equipment that will be used for the construcion of its metal parts.
